Ground-still Audio
Music for Healing. Sound for the Soul
Compositions designed for stress reduction as part of an Undergraduate Degree Honours Level Project

This website is a portfolio of work for an Undergraduate Honours Degree project. It contains music pieces created by Jack McKay that were tested for their therapeutic effect using electrodermal activity sensors. The emotional response participants had is also featured in this website.
There are endless music streaming websites, including those that specialise in therapeutic music. Fewer use controlled environments to examine the effects the pieces have on relaxation and stress relief.
The effect of these pieces was tested using the BITalino EDA Sensor, attached to the BITalino HomeBIT Kit, and the skin response produced was analysed to determine the effectiveness for relaxation.
Who?
Ground-still Audio was created by Jack McKay, a final-year BSc (Hons) Music Technology student at the University of the West of Scotland.
